Emergency repair works set to see road closures in Dean Street and New Cut, East Farleigh, as well as Claygate Road near Collier Street

A series of emergency repair works will see roads closed by Kent Highways over the next five days.

The authority has today closed Claygate Road, near Collier Street, to carry out emergency repairs to the road.

This is expected to last for one day and a diversion will take motorists via Jarmons Lane, Forge Lane, Benover Road, Emmett Hill Lane.

On Monday it proposes to close Dean Street, in East Farleigh, for up to two nights.

This will be in effect between New Cut and Lower Road.

A short diversion will take drivers via Forge Lane and a small stretch of Vicarage Lane before they can rejoin Lower Road.

On that day the council also proposes to close New Cut, which runs between Dean Street and Stockett Lane.

A diversion will take road users down Dean Street and up Straw Mill Hill, which leads to Stockett Lane.

These two closures will be enforced from 9pm to 6am and may only be in place for one night.
