Emergency services were called to a collision between a van and a car on the junction of the A20 London Road and A228 Castle Way at West Malling.

Witnesses said the van was on its side and much of the front of the car was missing after the collision, just before 5pm on Monday.

No one was trapped or seriously injured in either vehicle.

An ambulance was called to the scene and two people from the car were taken to hospital for precautionary checks.

Police received reports of debris in the road and the Highways Agency dealt with a fuel spillage.
