A Swedish bride and her English groom married yesterday as their respective nations clashed in Russia.
Ingela Hansson, 47, and Kieran McSweeney, 45, wed in front of friends and family on Herne Bay pier at 3pm.
Although the Three Lions humbled the Swedes 2-0, there was no hard feelings.
The Pier Trust put a screen on the stage for the wedding party and the best man set up a TV inside a hut.
There were only happy guests with the Swedish visitors continuing to enjoy the party even once they had lost.
KentOnline has been inundated with photos from people enjoying the big match.
Alicia Sharp sprayed her patriotic English Bull Terrier Cross with the Cross of St George so he could support England ahead of their crucial match yesterday.
Seven-year-old Sherman drew some admiring glances as he was taken for walks around his home village of Headcorn.
He watched the match with Mrs Sharp and her family and really caught the excitement of the moment.
She said: "As soon as England scored he started barking, then grabbed a shoe and ran out into the garden running round and round to celebrate."
Sherman, who is pictured with Mrs Sharp's two-year-old daughter Billie, is a big England fan.
He favourite all-time players include current star Kyle 'Dog' Walker, 1980s/90s midfielder Steve Bull-Dog and Chelsea's Ross Barkley.
He never saw him play, but hears defender Brian Labone was quite tasty when he represented the national side 26 times between 1962 and 1970.
Also flying the flag this weekend was Dan Ware who hit the headlines in 2014 when Labour's Emily Thornberry resigned after she tweeted photos of his flag-draped home, which led to accusations of snobbery.
West Ham supporter Dan, who lives in Southwark Road, Strood, watched the match at his brother's house.
He said: “It was brilliant. I didn’t expect it to be a 2-0 win, I thought they would struggle."
Football may be coming home, but Dan reckons he's staying home to watch Wednesday's semi-final against Croatia.
He said: "I’ll probably watch it indoors, seeing as what’s going on in the pubs during the matches."
A mini-roundabout has been given the red and white treatment in Maidstone Road, Rainham.
The St George Flag has been painted on it.
Ightham resident Jane Armstong wanted to make a splash during the match...literally.
She sent in this photo of her relaxing in a paddling pool.
While over at Maidstone Museum the family gathered to celebrate Rachel Louise Woolerton's nan's 80th.
Luckily, there was a TV on hand to allow them to watch the Three Lions roar.
