Erasure will play one of their first live performances in four years when they come to Kent next summer.
The Total Pop! tour was announced this morning and the summer 2011 tour includes a gig at Bedgebury Pinetum as part of the Forestry Commission’s Live Music season.
The Total Pop! tour will coincide with the release of Erasure’s new album, planned for release in summer 2011.
It has already been announced that Simple Minds will play Bedgebury on Friday, June 10.
Erasure’s Andy Bell said: "This wonderful opportunity to perform for the fans in such a unique backdrop feels like just the right way to jump back in to Erasure after a four year break. We’re excited to be playing in the woods and really hope it doesn’t rain." Formed 25 years ago, Vince Clarke and Andy Bell unleashed on the nation a succession of both influential and chart-topping pop anthems, such as A Little Respect, Sometimes, Victim Of Love and Ship Of Fools.
Erasure will play Bedgebury Pinetum on Saturday, June 11.
Tickets cost £34.50 (subject to booking fee) and go on sale at 9am on Friday, December 10 from the Forestry Commission box office on 03000 680400, or buy online at www.forestry.gov.uk/music
