POLICE have released this efit of a man who they are keen to question in relation to an incident in which a man is believed to have tried to abduct a girl of 16.
The incident happened in Sittingbourne town centre Sunday, May 15, between 4.25pm and 4.45pm as the girl was sitting with two friends on a bench in the High Street.
A man approached the girls who tried to walk off. He then grabbed the 16-year-old and pulled her away. The girl struggled free and the suspect walk away briskly.
Police say the man is white, aged about 30, 5ft 6ins tall with blue eyes and short, light brown hair. He was clean shaven and had protruding ears. He had a plastic carrier bag in his left hand.
Officers are also asking anyone who may have witnessed a male of similar description talking to girls in Albany Park, Sittingbourne, prior to the incident.
PC Steve Wells, who is investigating, said: "I am keen to hear from anyone who can help us with this inquiry. Incident of this nature are extremely rare and I am keen to see that the suspect is arrested as soon as possible."
