A community group has issued a warning after a fake children's charity mascot was seen trying to collect money at a park.
The Friends of Calverley Grounds in Tunbridge Wells tweeted about the sighting warning that the bear was not confirmed to be collecting money for a valid charity.
A team member of the Calverley Adventure Grounds who saw the bear, said: "We were first amused by the sighting of Pudsey Bear.
"At first, we did not think this was out of character given our location.
"The person inside the costume was making rather odd grunting noises which scared a number of children"
"The suspicious donation bucket was dangled in the faces of parents without any explanation about the cause.
"Due to the aggressive grunts, we were unsure about confronting the person."
The fake Pudsey was seen on Sunday, October 15
A spokesperson for BBC Children in Need said: "We advise all our supporters not to collect money in the street or any other public place without a licence from their local authority.
"If anyone is unsure about a collection happening in their area, we would recommend that they ask to see a collection licence and contact the police if they suspect the activity may be fraudulent."
