A family-of-six have ended their week on a high, after winning a new kitchen worth £5,000.
After hundreds of entries, kmfm listener Andy Portelli, from Nettlestead, Maidstone, was the winner of the station's 'Kitchen Nightmare' competition.
Listeners were asked to send in pictures of their own kitchen nightmares - from cupboard doors hanging off or drawers that didn't close.
The Maidstone dad was at home when he answered the call from presenter Andy Walker and the competition's sponsor, Jacob Compton from Comptons in Herne Bay, telling him he would be having a £5,000 new kitchen installed.
Andy's wife, Carmen, was alongside her husband and expressed how much this will help.
Their current kitchen, some of which Andy has tried to do himself, had been in poor state for the past three years and has not been able to fulfil the needs of a family of six.
Carmen said: "I can't put into words what this means. My husband tries his best bless him but as he fully admits, he's no DIYer.
"On top of this, he just had surgery on his arm yesterday with another surgery on the other arm planned in a month - he'll do anything to get out of doing my kitchen for me.
"A finished kitchen was not in the near future for me until today so thank you so so much. Thanks kmfm - you've made our year."
