Pat Lamb's family remember his smile, his humour and his "embracing hugs" as they pay a full tribute to the 28-year-old:
"We, as a family are absolutely devastated by the news of Patrick's death.
"We all hoped that he would come back in his own time but unfortunately that was not the case and we are struggling to come to terms with this.
"Patrick was an extremely kind and selfless person, who always put others before himself.
"He was always making sure everyone was happy, whether that was with words of comfort and support, his humour or an embracing hug with his smile.
"Patrick was extremely family orientated, and was always calling everyone up to see how they were doing. He was an amazing son, brother and uncle and will be dearly missed by all.
"We would like to thank the two people who found Patrick and called out for help, we'd also like to thank the dock master for securing the area until the police arrived.
"We'd like to thank Kent Search and Rescue for all their dedication into finding Patrick; as a volunteer based organisation it's amazing to see such commitment.
"We thank the police for their help and support during the month long search and finally, we'd like to thank the public for their continued support in following the story from the awareness we managed to raise and the money that was donated in Patrick's name.
"However, as a family we would like to clearly state that we had absolutely no involvement in the setting up of fundraising nor the spending of money and would like to make this clear. Any donations made now are still not involving Patrick's family.
"You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back
Or you can do what he would want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on."
