The family of a young man killed in a car crash have paid a loving tribute to 'the most incredible, kindest, sincere person who enriched everyone's lives'.
Luke Mumford, from Maidstone, died in a collision in Aylesford on Wednesday.
In a statement issued today, his family said: "Luke Mumford is so loved, and touched the hearts of many.
"A happy, kind and positive wonderful lad who was always helping and supporting everyone; from helping out at Mid Kent College, whilst attending Canterbury University and working at Sainsbury’s in Maidstone, where he went over and above to help customers.
"His happy and cheeky nature will be missed by so many. Luke has been described by friends and family as the most incredible, kindest, sincere person who enriched everyone's lives. We are devastated by this tragic event.
"In Luke's words – ‘Bring positive changes to the communities you are involved in. Be proactive if you have the power to improve something or make someone happier, do it. Set out to do something for someone each day. Even if it’s as small as buying someone some food or a drink - it all counts’."
Luke was in the headlines last month after giving a homeless man a cup of coffee. His small act of kindness caught the attention of Carey Miles, the owner of Canterbury Historic River Tours, who offered him a job.
Police are appealing for information following the accident and are urging anyone who saw the car in the Eccles area in the minutes before the crash to come forward.
Mr Mumford was driving his blue Vauxhall Corsa on the road between Eccles and Blue Bell Hill at around 5.40pm when tragedy struck.
