A father and son are facing sentence after admitting involvement in a crowd brawl at a charity boxing match.
Noah Rye senior, 43, and junior, 20, were charged with affray following the trouble at New Line Learning Academy, in Boughton Lane, Loose, in March.
Spectators at the Maidstone Gurkha Boxing Club fight night were sent running for cover as punches and chairs were thrown.
Prosecutor James Nichols told magistrates at an earlier hearing: “People were frantically moving their children and belongings out of the way as the violence escalated.”
The Ryes, of Church Field, Snodland, initially denied the charges but changed their pleas at Maidstone Crown Court yesterday. They were granted bail until sentence after September 7.
Conditions of bail include not attending any boxing events or going to Boughton Lane.
