Detectives have charged another man in connection with an aggravated burglary in Lenham in 2016.

John Smillie, 24 and of Billet Road in Walthamstow, was arrested by officers in St Thomas Road, London, on Thursday 11 May 2017.

He was subsequently charged with conspiring to commit robbery and having a firearm with intent to commit an indictable offence.

He appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Friday 19 May and Maidstone Crown Court on Monday 15 May. He has been remanded in custody to next appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Friday 19 May.

A total of 15 people have now been charged in connection with the burglary, which was reported at a property in Forstal Road, on Tuesday April 26, last year.
