Firefighters were called to a blaze at a derelict house in Allington.

Crews went to Beaver Road at 2.15pm, and spent an hour putting out the fire, which was on the ground floor.

As part of the operation they had to cool and removed two propane cylinders from the property.

The cause of the fire is not yet known. No one was injured.
