Firefighters were called to a gas leak at an office block in Maidstone town centre this evening.

The leak was reported in Concorde House, Rocky Hill, just after 6pm.

Earlier reports that a fire had broken out at the site were unfounded, but two fire engines are at the scene.

Engineers from SGN are also parked nearby.

Rocky Hill is partially blocked with traffic using the right hand lane to pass the building.

Concorde House is currently being converted into flats.
