Smoke was billowing from a three storey building when fire crews were called to a blaze in Maidstone this morning.
It started in a second floor flat in Pudding Lane, in the town centre just before 9.30am.
Four fire engines and a height vehicle arrived at the three-storey block and firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used hose reel jets and a covering jet to tackle the flames.
The exact cause is not yet known but it is believed to have been accidental.
Nobody was injured.
