Firefighters called to strong smell of burning in Maidstone's King Street

Fire crews were called to a strong smell of burning at an estate agents in Maidstone town centre.

Firefighters raced to Page and Wells in King Street shortly after 11.30am following a fire alarm activation.

Two engines were called but have now left the scene.

Officers said there was no blaze and left the scene shortly after midday.
