Fire crews were called out to a shower fire this morning at a second floor flat.

Firefighters responded to the call at around 8.15am and tackled the blaze at the flat in Buckland Road, Maidstone.

Crews wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet to extinguish the flames and used a fan to clear the property of smoke.

Nobody is reported to have suffered any injuries and the firefighters left the scene at 8.50am.
