Fire fighters were called after a flat caught fire yesterday morning.
The fire service was called at 10.04am to reports that the property’s roof was ablaze in Vicarage Road, Yalding.
Two engines were sent to the scene and crews used a ladder to get to the roof before using a high pressure hose reel jet to extinguish it.
The cause is believed to be accidental and the scene was declared safe at 10.30am.
A thermal imaging camera was also used to check for hotspots and to see if the flames had spread elsewhere.
