The return of a town’s bonfire night proved to be worth the 15-year wait.
The Cranbrook Town Bonfire returned to the town last night on Bonfire Night after a 15-year absence, when it was staged at Cranbrook Primary School in Carriers Road, Cranbrook.
A massive bonfire went with a bang, thanks to some special explosive planning which went into the building of it, while the fireworks display, provided by Gary Bridgeland and his team, wowed the 500-strong crowd.
The sell-out event was sponsored by the Kent Messenger and kmfm, and Ashwal Garage in Cranbrook, and organised by the primary school PTFA.
A Guy competition attracted 10 impressive entries.
Caroline Stern from the PTFA said: “It was a fantastic success. The community really turned out for us.”
