The upper three floors of a town centre building could be converted into housing.
A planning application has been submitted for 8-9 Middle Row in Maidstone.
The property, previously a tattoo parlour and more recently Tunes, a vinyl record shop, is currently vacant.
The owner intends to maintain the ground floor of the Grade II-listed 18th-century building as commercial space while converting the upper floors to provide a two-bedroom flat.
There would be a lounge and dining area on the first floor, a bedroom and bathroom on the second floor, and another bedroom on the third floor.
A new staircase will be built and the ground floor commercial space will be reduced slightly to allow a separate entrance to be created for the flat, using an existing door onto Bank Street. The shop space will be accessed from the High Street.
Details of the application can be found on the Maidstone council website. Look for application number 25/500601.

The application follows closely on another flat conversion from commercial premises proposed not far away in the town centre.
D and E Properties wants to create four one-bedroom flats above H and T pawnbrokers shop on the corner of Palace Avenue and Lower Stone Street.
