Drivers are being advised to follow a diversion.

Last week we reported on how 56 fly-tipping incidents had been reported in a week.

They including a mound of rubbish dumped outside West Borough Primary School.

The eyesore, off Queen's Road, included a toilet, children's toys, mattresses, garden furniture and bin bags of smashed glass.

It comes as Maidstone Borough Council has decided to save £40,000 by axing its roadside freighter service for bulky items and furniture. The last collection will be on Saturday, May 14.
