A leisure complex unit, formerly home to a popular pub, is on the market.
The Feathers Bar and Flaming Grill in Lockmeadow, Maidstone, shut in May after the firm chose not to renew its lease when it expired.
It is 6,445 sq ft in size, making it the largest retail space on the entertainment centre’s ground floor, and is now available for rent at £100k a year.
It is one of two empty units including the former Frankie & Benny’s restaurant which is found directly opposite.
The shut last December when its lease came to an end, following a raft of post-Covid closures which saw 3,000 jobs lost at the Italian chain, nationwide.
Anyone who fills the unit will join the recently opened VR World, Lockmeadow’s Love Food hall, the Odeon Luxe Cinema, Gravity Trampoline Park and Hollywood Bowl.
According to the marketing listing, the former Feathers space is suitable for a variety of leisure uses such as restaurant, bar, café, soft play and competitive socialising.
At the time of the closure, the property was owned by Greene King brewery.
A spokesman said: “It is with great sadness that we have informed our team at The Feathers in Maidstone that our lease at the pub is shortly coming to an end.
“We are working closely with them to support them as much as possible as we enter a consultation period.
“Our number one aim is to protect jobs where possible and we will explore opportunities for people to transfer to other pubs we run in the local area.
“We would like to thank all our customers and the community who have supported the pub over the years.”
The Feathers was previously Old Orleans restaurant and cocktail bar, specialising in South American cuisine.
