Four people have been arrested after police launched an investigation into the theft of power tools from a store.

Kent Police received a report at 11.48am yesterday that some people had left a store at the Langley Park Centre, Maidstone, without paying for a quantity of power tools.

At 1.23pm the same day, police officers stopped a car in Willow Way and subsequently arrested a 48-year-old man from Orpington, an 18-year-old man and 44-year-old woman from Maidstone, and a 27-year-old woman from Stockbury.

They were later released under investigation.
