Two people remain in custody following an early morning raid at a flat in Maidstone.

Officers carried out a search warrant at an address in Lindisfarne Gardens, off Hart Street, at around 3.40am yesterday.

Detectives spent the day at the property and removed evidence bags from the flat and a nearby garage.

A 26-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman were arrested in connection with a fraud investigation.

A neighbour, who asked not to be named, said a car was also removed from the gated housing complex.
