Four girls were left shaken after a ride collapsed at a village fun day.

Bystanders helped the girls, who had been on the ride at the time.

It happened as villagers enjoyed a fete and fair in Headcorn at the weekend.

One of the girls said she had been enjoying the ride when she felt a tipping sensation.

"Then I just heard screaming" she said.
