Maidstone town centre will have a day of festivities on Friday, June 1, with the official opening of Jubilee Square and a street party with invited guests including 90 specially selected Year 6 pupils.
Three classes from schools across the Maidstone borough will be chosen to take part in a competition organised by the Kent Messenger, with Maidstone council.
All you have to do to enter is get your class to draw or paint a picture of the Queen, and we will choose the three best. Entries will also be on display at the KM’s offices in Middle Row, Maidstone.
The Kent Messenger is also arranging for a time capsule to be buried underneath the new square, which has been created as part of the High Street regeneration project.
