The retailer stocks original gifts, including personalised items and tech.

It is now its second store in the county, after Bluewater Shopping Centre in Dartford.

Menkind is next to FatFace and the Apple Store – filling the empty unit where Topshop once was.

The British fashion outlet went into administration in November 2020.

In March 2021, it was bought out for £265million, along with Topman and Miss Selfridge by online retailer Asos.

Menkind is now the third store in Fremlin Walk to open in the last two months.

The most recent edition was athletic footwear and apparel store Skechers, who opened their doors to the public just three weeks ago.

Coffee shop Muffin Break launched its second Maidstone store in Fremlin Walk in early July. The other is in The Mall.

The town is also set to see Kent's first fast-food chain Wendy's, which can be found in Week Street, on the corner of Earl Street.

Fremlin Walk centre manager Lloyd Wright said: "We're thrilled to have yet another new store opening at Fremlin Walk.

"Adding a unique and fun offer for shoppers, perfect for gifting and all of the gadgets you didn't know you needed.

"We're sure the new store will be popular with new and existing shoppers."
