A three-year-old girl was taken to hospital after a crash in Speldhurst this afternoon.

The child was hit by a car at just after 4pm in Barden Road.

A police spokesman said she was not thought to have serious injuries, but had cuts and bumps to the front and back of her head.

She was said to be walking and talking when she was taken away by land ambulance. The air ambulance was called out, but not needed.

The road was closed until just after 5pm.
