A TEENAGER who had been reported missing from her home has been found safe and well.

Sophie Stanton, 14, disappeared on Saturday, May 6, and concern for the Maidstone girl's welfare was high as she failed to take any money or her mobile phone with her.

Enquiries resulted in Sophie being found in the London area on Thursday. She has now been reunited with her mother.

A police spokesman said: "We would like to thank the media for their assistance with the appeal."
