BEST bibs, tuckers and high glam were the order of the night for Valley Park Community School's Year 11 Prom.
Students arrived in a variety of cars and limos before formal photographs were taken and the promenaders went into the school hall, decorated for the occasion with pink, lilac and silver balloons and bows.
An arch of flowers formed the entrance to the hall, with candles adding a touch of romance.
During the evening, certificates were awarded to some of the students who their fellow pupils had voted for as "the student most likeliest to".
Staff band, Manic Street Teachers 4, performed to the amusement of the partygoers, some of whom joined them on stage for an encore.
The Prom was a huge success a wonderful atmosphere with students and staff dancing the night away.
There were many tears as the evening came to a close and everyone said their farewells. A night to be remember by everyone who was there as two students can testify.
Lizzie Parker said: "The night was amazing, everyone enjoyed themselves, all the pupils looked stunning and the atmosphere was great.
"It was a fantastic night and a great way to end the year. Good luck to everyone at Valley Park."
Lou Crouch added: "Everyone looked stunning and it was a brilliant night. It made me realise how much I'm going to miss everyone.
"The Prom was a great night to celebrate the end of our compulsory education and a good excuse for the house parties afterwards. It's one I shall never forget."
