A drop-in office has opened at a motorway service station giving mobile workers a shared workspace on the go.
The business centre at the M25 Clacket Lane services has meeting rooms, printing facilities and space for private work, known as ThinkPods.
The co-working venue has been opened by office developer Regus, which has offices in Maidstone and West Malling.
The project is among 220 Regus Express locations across the UK.
Business people can access the service on a pay-as-you-go basis – costing £5 an hour or £10 a day – or through a membership costing £35 a month.
Each of the big four motorway service area operators – Roadchef, Moto Hospitality, Welcome Break and Extra Motorway Service Area Group – as well as Staples, the office supplies retailer, have launched Regus Express locations within the last year.
Regus global managing director Phil Kemp said: “We are excited to open our latest centre at Clacket Lane, especially because this area is such an important business hub.
“We already have a strong network of locations in the region but this gives another option to Businessworld members who live, work or do business locally.
“Simply put, Regus Express is designed to make business easier for people working on the move, offering choice, convenience and productive environments.”
