While Matt Ford has been busy making his way on the European Challenge Tour, life away from the greens has included the search for sponsors.

The costs to play on tour are high, with a full season costing approximately 35,000 euros.

While 23 players on the main European Tour bagged more than one million euros in prize money last year, only one member of the Challenge Tour banked more than 100,000 euros.

Ford (pictured) has designed a sponsorship scheme where he offers a percentage of his winnings.

One of his main fund-raisers is the Matt Ford Golf Day, which takes place at The London Golf Club on Wednesday, April 6.

Ford will be on hand to provide a clinic and will also play at least one hole with each group.

The price of £95 includes bacon rolls, tea and coffee on arrival and a two-course meal after 18 holes of golf.

Spaces are limited so contact Matt Ford on 07737 672673 or email fatmord@hotmail.com
