YEAR 13 students from Maidstone Grammar School turned out in style at the picturesque venue of The Orangery, Turkey Mill, for an evening of drinking, dancing and fond farewells to friends and teachers.
More than 140 students arrived at The Orangery, Maidstone, in high spirits to celebrate the end of their school careers.
For most, it was the climax of seven happy years of study at Maidstone Grammar School, Barton Road.
Limousines, champagne, tuxedos and ball gowns were the order of the evening, as students, and surprisingly staff, looked the part.
Awards, presented by Ian McKenzie and head teacher Neil Turrell, provided a light-hearted interlude to the dancing after a buffet dinner.
Ellie Moore and Brendan Spooner, who organized the ball, ensured everyone had a fantastic night, which will remain etched in the memories of students for years to come.
The ball was a fitting end to an era at Maidstone Grammar School, as the camaraderie between all the students brought the whole year group together for one last time.
The impeccable attitude of the year group was a credit to the school and the delight of the staff was expressed on many occasions.
There is only one last thing left to say: good luck to the students with their exam results and with the rest of their lives.
