A grandmother who won £20,000 on a single game of bingo plans to give most of it away to her family before treating herself to two Spanish holidays.
Mary Fuller paid just £1 for a ticket at Maidstone’s Gala Bingo in Lower Stone Street and was shocked when all her numbers came up and she realised how much she’d won.
The 73-year-old, of Upper Fant Road, still works part-time as a customer service assistant at B&Q in Barker Road but plays bingo on the four days a week she isn’t working.

She’s had a few modest wins in three decades but her latest haul is by far the biggest.
Mrs Fuller, who won on the Maidstone Special, held twice a day, said: “I was shocked. I was crying and I was scared. I couldn’t believe it, I still can’t believe it.
“I’ve got five children and 11 grandchildren and that’s where most of the money is going. I’ve just got back from Tenerife, my daughter Mandy and grandson Ben paid for my husband Amos and I to go there as a Christmas present.
“I’d like to go to Lanzarote with my family and perhaps Tenerife again, with my friend. If there’s any money left it will go in the bank.
“I still work because I enjoy it. They asked me if I was going to retire and I said no way!”
Originally from close to Dumfries, Scotland, Mrs Fuller moved to Maidstone 55 years ago and was introduced to bingo by a friend.
Her husband Amos “hates bingo” but was smiling after her big win
She said the biggest change she’s noticed over 30 years is a reduction in prize money.
A Gala spokesman said: “Mary is a popular customer and the whole club was delighted for her.”
Three players won a total of £40,000 in Maidstone on Friday, September 30.
Andy Tozer took home almost £18,000 after winning the National Live game, which involves bingo clubs across the UK playing together, and a third person won nearly £3,000 on full house game Party Extra.
Days after her big win, Mrs Fuller won free bingo games for a month.
