A hair and beauty shop is set to open in a town’s high street this Friday.
Rimzi is taking over the former Dorothy Perkins and Burton unit in Week Street, Maidstone.
A sign has been placed in the new shop’s window revealing the store’s opening date as February 2.
The beauty business sells various products, including hair extensions, wigs, accessories and makeup.
It also carries big-brand products, such as TGI Bedhead, Cantu, Moroccan Oil and Olaplex.
Customers will be able to receive a 10% discount on the day of the branch’s “grand opening”.
The shop in the heart of Maidstone’s town centre will be the third Rimzi store in Kent.
Currently, there are branches in Chatham,Dartford, and Shepherds Bush, London.
It has taken over the unit which was once a Dorothy Perkins and Burton shop.
The building, located between Greggs and Specsavers in Week Street, had been vacant for over two years.
In 2021, all Dorothy Perkins and Burton shops were closed after the brands were acquired by online fashion retailer Boohoo.
An application to renovate the space for a Rimzi store was submitted just before Christmas.
The plans were approved by Maidstone Borough Council on January 11 and work began shortly after.
The space has been renovated with a white shopfront, new flooring and light fixtures.
