Some of us had just gone to bed, but the Hartley Morris were up with the lark to greet the sunrise on May Day - the traditional start of the Morris season.
The dancers performed at the Coldrum Stones, an ancient longbarrow, in Trottiscliffe at 5.30 in the morning. It was the first of six dances they performed that day at various locations, taking in Wrotham, Southfleet, and Gravesend.
