Victory eluded Tonbridge for a seventh game running on Saturday when they threw away a two-goal lead at Havant & Waterlooville to draw 2-2.
The Angels are one of only two teams in Blue Square Bet South yet to win this season. This was their fifth straight draw, a result which leaves Tommy Warrilow’s side lying 20th in the table.
Fine interplay between Frannie Collin (pictured) and George Purcell set up Chris Piper to open the scoring from close-range on 11 minutes. The visitors were dominant and Olly Schulz almost laid on a second for Collin, before denying Havant’s Sahr Kabba at the other end.
It was 2-0 midway through the half, though. Henry Muggeridge ran onto a through-ball and slotted his shot beyond the reach of Hawks keeper Clark Masters.
However, former Dover defender Ed Harris reduced the arrears almost immediately when he glanced home a Chris Arthur free-kick.
Tonbridge keeper Lee Worgan pulled off several fantastic saves after half-time but he was powerless to stop Havant equalising 20 minutes from the end.
Arthur swung in a great cross and Ollie Palmer powered his header into the net.
