A head teacher and two deputy heads at a Maidstone grammar school are self-isolating after they were contacted by the test and trace system.
Kevin Moody, head teacher at Oakwood Park Grammar School, and his two deputies have not tested positive for the virus, but have been in self-isolation since Monday, after receiving the alert from the NHS Covid-19 app.
Mr Moody said: “We have contingencies in place and the school continues to function as normal”
The person who tested positive for coronavirus and was in close proximity to the senior staff members, prompting the alert, has not been identified.
It is understood some students at the school are currently self-isolating as well, but the school would not say how many, the reasons for this, and when their self-isolation started.
