The family of a Maidstone man found dead in his home have paid tribute to him and say they want answers.
Father-of-one Carlos Collins was discovered at his house in Shepway.
Two people have been arrested in connection with the death, which is being treated as unexplained.
Police have ruled out a possible murder investigation but refused to reveal what the two people were arrested on suspicion of.
Officers were called to the Middlesex Road property at 7.30am and forensics teams remained at the scene for several hours gathering evidence.
Mr Collins, a keen boater, was described as fun and the “life and soul” of the party.
The 46-year-old, who was unemployed, was a former pupil at Maidstone’s St Simon Stock Catholic School pupil.
He leaves behind family including his son Carlo, 13, and his 27-year-old niece, Chloe Palmer.
She said: “He was full of laughter, always laughing all the time and he was a fun character, the life and soul of any party. He was always loyal and would do anything for you.
“It is really heartbreaking with everything that is going on at the moment and we want to get to the bottom of it" - Chloe Palmer
“He used to love the River Festival and went every year. He used to have a boat that was his pride and joy.”
The shocking news of Mr Collins’ death was broken to the family just two weeks after his sister, and Chloe’s mother, Angela, died following a two-and-a-half year battle with breast cancer.
Chloe added: “The only thing we want to say is it is really heartbreaking with everything that is going on at the moment and we want to get to the bottom of it.”
A man and a woman have been bailed pending further inquiries, until Tuesday, May 2.
