Heavy rain is causing delays on some of the county's busiest roads this morning.

Drivers have reported disruption on the Maidstone-bound A249 Detling Hill, with queues stretching back to the Shell petrol garage, opposite the Kent Showground.

There are also delays around Maidstone town centre and queuing traffic on the London-bound M20 between junctions 6 (Maidstone/Running Horse) and 5 (Aylesford).

Meanwhile, there are delays passing through the roadworks on the A228 in Leybourne.
