The MP for Maidstone and the Weald Helen Grant is moving her constituency office.

She is currently based in a building adjacent to Maidstone East Railway station, but Network Rail owns the freehold and wants it back.

The building is to be demolished as part of the revamp of the station and surrounding area.

Mrs Grant said she had enjoyed "six happy years" in the office, but was pleased to have a secured new rooms only 150 yards away.

In future her constituency team will work from the first floor of number 109 - 111 Week Street once repair and maintenance work there is completed.
