A man in his 30s who went missing in Maidstone this morning has been found after an eight-hour search.

Emergency crews were alerted at 5am following reports for the welfare of the man, who is thought to have last been seen at his home in the town.

A helicopter and ground crews were involved in the widespread search effort.

The man was found safe and well at 1pm.
