A helicopter was scrambled to help search for a missing man.

The Kent and Essex Police chopper was spotted circling above Larkfield and the surrounding areas, at 11pm last night.

Crews were called off about 20 minutes later when the 42-year-old returned home and made contact with officers.

A police spokesman said there were reports of concern for the man's welfare.
