Explore Maidstone’s history and hidden treasures with a series of insightful tours and events.
Venues across the town and surrounding villages are taking part in the national Heritage Open Days scheme, running from Thursday to Sunday.
Museums, churches and places of interest will be opening their doors for guided walks and talks over the four-day-celebrations, to allow people to learn about the borough’s roots.
Sessions will be staged at significant spots in the town centre, including Tyrwhitt Drake Carriage Museum, Archbishops Palace and All Saints Church, all in Mill Street, the Stone Street Club in Lower Stone Street, and Maidstone Museum in St Faiths Street.
Communities in Broomfield, Kingswood, Aylesford, Staplehurst, Lenham and Headcorn are also taking part.
