A father delivered his baby son on their bathroom floor - and then took emergency action to save the newborn’s life.
Rick Flynn, 44, of Cambridge Way, remembered advice given to him on a paediatric first aid course after his son was born looking blue.
His fiancee Joanna Hallett, 23, went into bathroom as her contractions got stronger on Thursday, March 25 - and Mr Flynn had little time to react when he soon heard her shout: "The baby's coming!"
While taking advice over the phone he delivered the baby boy, and then gave him CPR after noticing that he was not breathing.
“He let out a huge cry and that was such a relief. I didn’t feel nervous at the time, but I was shaking for about three days afterwards," Mr Flynn said.
