Households remain without water or low pressure despite repairs to water pipes on a bridge being completed.
The A229 Loose Road in Maidstone remains closed since the incident happened Saturday afternoon and dozens of homes lost supply over the weekend. July 23
South East Water confirmed repairs had been completed by Monday morning and while supplies have been restored to the "majority" of customers in Loose, Ulcombe, Headcorn, some residents in Coxheath remain without water today.
The closure of the historic viaduct came as vast amounts of water could be seen cascading down the side of the 200-year-old stone work.
Steve Benton, South East Water incident manager, said: “We’re really sorry to customers in parts of Maidstone and the surrounding areas who have been experiencing water supply issues.
“We have been dealing with a number of issues across our network in Maidstone and the surrounding areas which have led to problems at our water treatment works which in turn has led our storage reservoirs to run very low.
“One of those issues was a burst pipe in Linton Road, which we have had to close for the safety of the public and our repair teams.
“The pipe has been repaired and we are working to get the road back open as quickly as we can.
“The majority of customers have now had their supplies restored or are currently experiencing low pressure while we continue to carefully fill the network.
“Unfortunately, a number of properties in Coxheath are still without water or have low pressure. We are extremely sorry about this, our teams are continuing work to fill the nearby storage reservoir which will restore supplies once it reaches a level when we can turn on the pumps again.”
Those still affected are able to get bottled water from New Line Learning Academy on Boughton Lane, Maidstone.
Other bottled water stations were opened at the weekend and it has not yet been confirmed how many homes were affected.
The road remains closed amid unconfirmed reports about the leaking water has caused structural damage to the bridge which has stood over the village since 1830.
South East Water and Kent County Council have been asked for further details on the closure and the condition of the bridge.
