A woman horse rider is in a serious but stable condition after a fall from a horse on Sunday (February 20).

The accident happened in Bearsted, Maidstone, at just before 10am.

Emergency services were at the scene, and the Kent Air Ambulance landed in a nearby sports field.

The woman, 31, was taken to King's College Hospital in London by land ambulance. It was escorted there by the air ambulance which was unable to transport the patient due to the weather.
