Emergency department staff at Tunbridge Wells Hospital have been filmed for the latest series of the Channel 5 show A&E After Dark.
The programme, produced by Crackit Productions, will be "lifting the lid on the night shift” at various hospitals, including Tunbridge Wells Hospital.
Coronation Street star Bill Fellows will narrate the episodes as he explores “the night-time challenges facing NHS staff captured in their raw form”.
Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust chief operating officer Sean Briggs said: “The Trust’s involvement in the latest series of A&E After Dark gives us the opportunity to highlight the skill and dedication of our teams working in one of the best-performing emergency departments in the country.”
According to the documentary: “Drugs and alcohol admissions result in unprecedented levels of aggression and violence, making the job of saving lives even more challenging.
“The A+E nightshift is not for the faint-hearted.”
Mr Briggs said: "Colleagues work incredibly hard around the clock to support patients and this series provides a fascinating insight into the outstanding care they provide.
“I want to thank all the patients, their families and our staff who took part in the filming and shared their experiences.”
Tunbridge Wells Hospital and staff are set to feature in multiple episodes of the new series which will begin airing tonight.
