The air ambulance has been called out after a serious crash on the A228 at Paddock Wood.

Traffic is building after the Whetsted Road was closed in both directions this afternoon, following the two-vehicle accident near the Hop Farm.

Queues are particularly bad on the north-bound carriageway.

Two men have now been taken to hospital, and the vehicles are being recovered.
