Delays are clearing on the M20 London-bound this morning after police were called to an accident near J3.

But roads around the motorway are still clogged up as delays take a while to clear.

The tailbacks are being made worse, with traffic heavier than normal on the A228 Leybourne Bypass north-bound.

It's likely to be because of a reported burst water main on New Hythe Lane at Leybourne Way.

Delays have built up just before the turn-off for the M26, with tailbacks stretching back to J5 for the A20 and Aylesford.

All lanes have now reopened, after there was a brief hold in traffic to deal with the incident just before 8am.
