Despite confessing that she hates having her photo taken, one student is trying to find out if she is the most-snapped person on Facebook.

Ciara Joyce, of Ashford Road, Bearsted, appears in 4,965 photos on the social networking website.

The 21-year-old’s appearances have prompted boyfriend Andy Gorman to start his own page on the website, asking “Is Ciara Joyce the most tagged person on Facebook?”. You have to sign up to Facebook to see the page.

So far, 45 people have joined the quest, and Mr Gorman, 25, from East Farleigh, has been checking out the competition.

Ciara said: “There are other groups on there asking if other people are the most tagged on Facebook, but so far the most he has found is one with 1,500 pictures.”

The former St Simon Stock student, who is now studying marketing, advertising and PR at Worcester University, admits to being amused and slightly embarrassed by her new found web fame.

She said: “I am certainly not an extrovert who is always jumping in front of the camera. In fact I don’t like having my photo taken.

“I think there are so many pictures on there because I do not censor them.”

Ciara also thinks it may be because she had a digital camera before most of her friends.

She said: “When I was younger I was always taking it out and so when Facebook came along, all my friends wanted me to put them on the site.

“I remember going out one night and taking 400 photos. I thought, this is daft, I really ought to just put the camera away and just enjoy myself.”
